5 handy apps for perimenopausal women
Here are some handy apps that you may find useful for various different aspects of peri menopause.
I track my periods, because they’re all over the shop and I like to understand my cycles as much as I can. Mine can vary from 3 to 38 days, then can be bang on 28 days for a few months in a row.
Some symptoms I can struggle with are forgetfulness (the multi timers app has saved several near-disasters when cooking) and I love that Tiny Decisions makes decision making more fun and really pretty easy.
Flo Period & Cycle Tracker
This is just one app that enables you to track your cycles and symptoms without even having to think about it.
Flo has an impressive 300m users and you can use it anonymously, without an email, name or technical identifiers linked to your account.
Like many trackers, you can log body symptoms like sore boobies and discharge, as well as mood fluctuations and energy levels.

Tiny Decisions
Using this app is a fun and really easy way to make decisions, if you’re feeling overwhelmed or clouded in brain fog and struggling to think clearly.
It’s free but comes with ads; I personally find that a small price to pay for the ease it brings me in making decisions.
You spin a wheel of fortune to make decisions, such as what to eat, or perhaps picking a chore to do. I use a wheel called ‘Self care lottery’, so I don’t have to remember a self care activity to treat myself to, I just have to spin the wheel.
You can make a whole bunch of different wheels, so you could have a wheel for dinners, or outfits to wear, TV shows to watch – anything really!

MultiTimer
This app is so handy, you can keep track of a whole bunch of timers all on one screen.
You can see remaining cooking time for all the elements of a roast dinner, pop on a hair treatment for exactly the right time and delegate household chores, and you can see where each one of those timers is anytime you like.

Testimonials
Here’s what Motherlanders say
“Sarah was so brilliant to work with! She gave me sensible guidance around improving both my physical and mental health that fitted with my life rather than trying a one size fits all approach.”
“Sarah has helped me to understand that you can’t care for others without caring for yourself. She’s so warm and friendly, you can’t fail to feel supported and that she’s got your back.”
“My reiki session with Sarah was so relaxing and I saw some colours during my treatment, which was fascinating. I came away from the treatment feeling calm but also energised. Sarah was relaxed yet professional and I wouldn’t hesitate using her again for future reiki treatments.”
